Time Management Effectiveness Profile
Because the pace of life seems to grow ever faster, we all need the skills to make sure that we concentrate on our major personal and organisational objectives. We need to organise our time in the most efficient way possible.
The Time Management Effectiveness Profile provides a detailed process for assessing an individual’s existing capacity to manage their time efficiently and highlights specific areas where improvement might be possible. This is done by measuring time management ability in key competency categories as listed below:
– Personal predisposition
– Preparation skills
– Organisational ability
– Pressure management skills
– Delegation skills
– Interruption management skills
– Results orientation
Through one-to-one coaching or workshop exercises, participants plot their scores onto a histogram chart for each category. This quickly shows where efforts to improve should be concentrated in the future. Feedback sessions and exercises help participants to better understand the whole subject and identify improvement actions.
The format for one-to-one coaching includes 3 x 1.5 hour sessions typically scheduled 2 weeks apart:
Session 1: Time Management Effectiveness Profile – discussion of key competencies, identification of improvement areas, personal action plan
Session 2: Progress review and skills building
Session 3: Progress review and contract for change
